Way back in the day I was stationed in South Korea and that place is cold during winter. In the civilian market area I purchased earmuffs since uncle sam didn't see fit to issue us any although he thought that NBC equipment was a necessity. Those earmuffs worked perfectly even in extreme cold weather and is the standard by which I measure all others. Too bad they eventually broke. This morning was six degrees outside, colder with wind chill; spent 30 minutes outside and my ears are frozen. Now it's 26 degrees, after an hour my ears are frozen. Since they are comfortable, stay on, and a multi pack, I will keep and try to modify these for effectiveness. Hope it works.Tested a mod I made and it works in 25 degree weather; after two hours, ears aren't frozen although my hands and feet are. Cut chair seat foam 1/2" thick X 4" diameter circle (I usually make oiled engine air filters out of these), test fit positions and pinned, sewed it to the inside with some scrap material as an overlay to keep the foam in place. Holds in place well, still lightweight , not obtrusive, and sound still permeates through. Soft closed cell foam should be a better option since chair foam is open celled but I used what I have on hand.Shipping was fast. Received ear warmers. Very thinly made.The material is quite decent and keeps your ears warm. Haven't tried them under near freezing temperatures yet.Very functional. Bought these to run in and they work just fine. Very warm and durable. Not very cute, but as they are for exercise that’s fine.My Son was so happy. It fits great and stays put.I like how soft and convenient these are, however I wish they provided a little more warmth. Maybe a thicker fabric.I wouldn't recommend these for extremely cool weatherSoft and warm.
