I first put these on over the top of my head and thought my ears were just a bit too low for them. Then my husband suggested I put the band across the back of my head. The muffs did barely reach my ears this way, however, with a full head of hair, it was still a stretch. And the material on the band slipped down on my hair, causing the ear muffs to come off after a few seconds. I know being active in the outdoors, they would never stay on. They really need to be made to go over the top of the head so they'll stay on.If these were made with an inch or two more band to them, that would make a huge difference. As they are, I will give them to my six-year-old grandson and hope he will get some use out of them.
